Preventive measures against 'HIV'' and Treatment

Preventive measures:-

1: Educating the people especially in the high risk groups.
2: Use of disposable needles and syringes or use of sterilized needles and syringes.
3: Before transfusion, the donar's blood must be screened.
4: Use condoms during sexual contact.
5: Avoid the use of common razors, tooth brushes, needles and syringes.
6: Avoid sexual contact with multiplepartners, prostitutes and homosexual partners.
7: Infected mother should avoid conception.
8: Use of mass media, AIDS control programme, slogans etc.

Treatment:-

AIDS is not a curable diseases. But some drugs extend the life of patient,
1: Ribovirin
2: AZT(Azidothymidine)/ZDV (Zidovudine).
